Columns- Repurposed Student Housing
Project Summary
The Columns is a repositioned student housing project located in Bowling Green, KY and services Western Kentucky University. Built in the 1930’s, it was originally Bowling Green High School. Developers attempted to convert the property to a LIHTC project, but abandoned the project amidst the late 2000’s. AMGKY swooped in and took the project over in 2011, repositioning it to the premier student housing complex in town. AMGKY was responsible for development, construction, and management of the project, and continues to manage the facility today. The Columns remains in our portfolio of companies.
Our Amenities
The numerous amenities make living at Columns Apartments the ideal off-campus apartment community for Western Kentucky University (WKU) students. The short walk to class is often mentioned as the best reason to live at Columns, but our students love the huge rooms, new kitchens and bathrooms, and the overall unique living environment in Bowling Green, KY.
Among the five main buildings at Columns is a park-like, landscaped setting where sitting under a tree studying for a final is easy, not a chore.
